Lecturer, introductory woodworking and furniture design, San Diego State University, San Diego, CA
Course focused on a comprehensive introduction to hand, powered-hand, and powered-floor machine tools used in a fully equipped wood shop. Projects focused on both iterative design processes, and conceptually-driven object-making using wood and wood products as the primary media. Projects involved reductive as well as constructive/additive/joinery techniques.

Stacked courses taught in a shared black and white wet darkroom. Introductory coursework focused on the use of 35mm black and white film media and manual camera controls, as well as basic enlargement and wet-darkroom printing and editing techniques, studio lighting, and pinhole photography. Intermediate and advanced students focused on the completion of a large, semester-long body of conceptual work. Other topics included lectures and student-led presentations on contemporary and historical photographic artists.
